The First Edition has for sale the first edition book of Arthur C. Clarke’s historic
science fiction masterpiece 2001 A Space Odyssey, that was made into a film with
the screenplay by both Arthur C. Clarke and Stanley Kubrick who was also the Director
of the Hollywood blockbuster movie released in 1968. This film was known in the
US as "Two Thousand and One: A Space Odyssey"
Published by Hutchinson of London this is the rare UK first edition
The dust jacket is in Very Good complete condition with the price to the inside front flap reading “25s net in UK Only” with only very slight wear to the corners and remains of gum where a sticker has been removed (maybe possible to remove this gum professionally) and very light spotting to the inside of the jacket (not noticeable from the outside). This is a lovely example of the dust jacket
The original publisher’s black boards with silver lettering to the spine is in Very Good condition with slight and very light marks to the boards and slight shelf leaning.
There are 224 numbered pages which are in overall Very Good condition with spotting confined to the edges of the pages
This is a lovely example of this important twentieth century futuristic Arthur C. Clarke science fiction novel.
