The First Edition has for sale the very rare signed Charles Lindbergh first edition
classic Pulitzer Prize winning book, The Spirit of St Louis. This book is an autobiography
by Charles A. Lindbergh, a famous US aviation pioneer, which also has a presentation
inscription to Hollis Williams who was a British aviator and a Technical Director
to Westland Aircraft Ltd.
This book comes with its original dust jacket which is rare for this book. The dust jacket is in Good condition (as opposed to Very Good, Near Fine or Fine) with wear and losses to the spine; wear to the edges; and browning to the inside of the jacket. This is an extremely rare dust jacket and very nice to have.
The original blue boards bears the illustration of the Spirit of St Louis in silver to the centre of the front board and has lettering in silver to the spine. The boards are in overall Very Good condition with knocks to the top and bottom of the spine; slight fading to the spine; and very light corner knocks. A very attractive set of boards.

numerous diagrams and statistics in this award-
Opposite the Title Page is a presentation inscription to Hollis Williams, to give him his full name and title: Mr D.L. Hollis Williams, B.Sc, F.R.AeS; who was a distinguished aviator and a technical director to Westland Aircraft Ltd.
On the Title Page is the signature of Charles A. Lindbergh in full in black ink which he has dated 1953 – the year in which this book was published.
The Copyright Page lacks the Charles Scribner’s “A” which makes us believe that this is the First Edition, Second Impression.
